2013 Conference Marathon Part 1: Poland

16-17 November: 9th academic conference of Games Research Association of Poland. This time its main theme was "Applied Games and Gamification". As far as I am concerned, the most interesting part was the use of gamification and games in education, with academic teachers, school teachers and business coaches sharing their experiences and projects. A new Polish book on games in business training came out; so far I've only had time to browse it. I heard of new BA studies in game design, or BA specializations in game design, set up around Poland, both in the humanities and in technical sciences. Prospects for cooperation seem endless. And next year we'll have the 10th conference by GRAP. We'll do our best to take it to a new level.
